September Portland SharePoint User Group Event

The Portland SharePoint User Group Community is proud to have this month Kyle Petersen a SharePoint Architect with Slalom consulting and he just received his Microsoft Certified Master for SharePoint 2010.

Topic:  Understanding the SharePoint 2010 Health and Usage Service Application

Description:  What good is the Health and Usage Service Application?   This session will review the basic installation and configuration of the service application and explain the capabilities of Health rules, HTTP Throttling, the Health Score and the Usage database.  We will show how to control and customize the features and how you can create useful reports from the data in the Usage database.  And will wrap up with a demonstration of the Microsoft SharePoint Diagnostic Studio that builds on top of these capabilities to provide advanced diagnostic reports.

What: September Portland SPUG Meeting

When: Wednesday September 19th, 2012 11:30am – 1:00pm

Where: Microsoft Portland Office 1414 NW Northrup St. Suite 900 Portland, OR 97209

Unfortunately we continue to be unable to provide parking validation.

Food and Beverages: Lunch will be provided by AvePoint and as in previous months we need to get a headcount of how many folks will attend and want lunches.

Remote Viewing: Unfortunately this month we are experiencing some technical challenges so we will not have a LYNC function for this event…that means you have to be in person to enjoy.

Please forward to anyone who maybe interested in the Portland SharePoint User Group or this month’s topic. As always meetings are FREE to attend and open to anyone interested in SharePoint.
