Challenge:
A global manufacturing company, faced challenges in effectively tracking their complex supply chain operations. They struggled with manual processes, siloed data, and a lack of real-time visibility, leading to inefficiencies, delays, and increased costs. I am going to call them TAVO as that was the name we gave the project.
Solution:
Recognizing the need for a comprehensive supply chain tracking solution, TAVO partnered with our team to leverage the capabilities of Microsoft Power Platform.
Architecture:
1. SharePoint Online: We implemented SharePoint Online as a centralized data repository, enabling seamless collaboration and secure data sharing among stakeholders. This allowed real-time access to critical information and streamlined communication across departments. 2. Power Automate: To automate manual tasks and eliminate errors, we designed custom workflows using Power Automate. Order processing, shipment notifications, and inventory updates were automated, saving valuable time and ensuring accuracy throughout the supply chain. 3. Power BI: Leveraging Power BI's data visualization capabilities, we created interactive dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights into key performance indicators (KPIs). TAVO gained visibility into on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, transportation costs, and supplier performance, empowering data-driven decision-making. 4. Power Apps: We developed customized Power Apps tailored to TAVO's supply chain processes. These intuitive applications allowed employees to capture data on-the-go, from warehouse operations to quality control inspections. This improved data accuracy and expedited information flow across the supply chain. 5. Azure: By leveraging Azure's cloud services, we ensured a scalable and secure environment for data storage and processing. TAVO benefited from reliable and high-performance infrastructure, enabling seamless integration with existing systems and efficient data handling. 6. AI Tools: To further enhance supply chain tracking, we integrated AI tools into the Power Platform solution. Machine learning algorithms were applied to forecast demand, detect anomalies in inventory levels, and predict potential delays. TAVO could proactively address issues, optimize inventory management, and improve overall supply chain performance.
